The History

The first thing we are always asked is what does Karibu mean. Quite simply it is a Swahili word meaning Welcome.

We are a small ecommerce company based in Chatham Kent in the south east of England. Formed in early 2008 from Karibu Online Sales to cater for the electronics side of the business. As sales increased it became apparent that a stand alone site would be more benificial to us and make it easier for our customers to find our goods. Since this time we have secured product supplies from Daewoo and in September 2008 Nintendo. Having direct from manufacturer goods helps us to keep our costs down and gives our customers a better price by not suppling from third party companies and adding the associated mark ups.

This is a family run business and offer our customers a more personal touch. We believe that our success is due to this policy and the belief that people are happier buying from a company that offers a more personal service.
